Paying for your booking

You pay in two parts: a booking fee now to hold your date, and the session fee after the shoot. All prices are in Rwandan francs (RWF), and the price you see is the price you pay — any gateway fees are absorbed, never added at checkout.

1. The booking fee holds your date

When you pick a service, package and time slot, you'll see the total, the booking fee (40% of the total by default) and the remaining session fee. Paying the booking fee is what locks the slot for you.

The booking fee is non-refundable if you cancel — so choose your date with that in mind. (If the photographer ever has to cancel, you get the booking fee back in full.)

2. Paying by Mobile Money

Payment is by Mobile Money (MTN MoMo today; Airtel Money and cards may be added later). You enter the phone number to charge, and a prompt appears on that phone to approve the payment.

Your card and PIN never reach us

You approve the payment on your own phone, with your provider. We never see or store your card number, CVV or Mobile Money PIN.

After you approve, a page shows your booking as pending and waits for your provider to confirm. Mobile Money can take 30 seconds or more to settle, so this is normal — keep the page open if you can. You can safely close it, though: once the payment confirms, we email you a confirmation with your private booking link, whether or not the page is still open.

If a payment doesn't go through (a declined prompt, a mistyped number, or no response), nothing is charged and your slot is still held until the hold expires — you can simply try again.

Your confirmation email contains a private link to your booking. That link is your access — there's no password and no account. Open it to check your booking, cancel, pay the session fee, or download your photos when they're ready.

  • Keep it private. Anyone with the link can see and manage that booking, so don't post or forward it.
  • Lost it? On the site, use "Email me my links" and we'll send a fresh link for every current booking to your email address.
  • Wrong email on the booking? Open your booking, change the email, and we'll send a confirmation to the new address — the change only takes effect once you confirm it from there.

4. The session fee after the shoot

The rest of the total — the session fee — is due after the shoot. If the photographer adds anything afterwards (extra edits, prints), the amount can go up, and you'll always see the current amount on your booking page.

You can pay the session fee two ways:

  • Online, from your booking page, by Mobile Money — the same prompt-on-your- phone flow as the booking fee.
  • In cash, handed to the photographer, who records it against your booking.

You'll get a receipt by email either way, and your booking page always shows what's paid and what's still owed.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time before the shoot from your booking page. Remember the booking fee is not refundable on a client cancellation. If there's anything to refund, the photographer sends it back to you directly by Mobile Money or bank and records it against your booking.

Refunds

The photographer issues refunds to you directly (by Mobile Money or bank) and records them on your booking, so your booking page reflects what was returned. Refunds are never charged to a card on file — there is no card on file.
